"Adopt an Artifact"

The Ordnance Museum Foundation, as part of its 2004-2005 Fundraising Campaign to construct new facilities to house and protect the Museum collection, has initiated a new level of contribution that provides permanent recognition of your gift. 

The Foundation will now recognize benefactors at new donation levels with a brass plaque memorializing your gift permanently displayed with the restored museum artifact of your choice:

  • A donor may adopt a piece of artillery.
  • A donor may adopt an armored fighting vehicle.

Artifacts available for adoption are those that have undergone restoration at the museum facility. 

Photos below are examples of artifacts already adopted and on display as you enter APG. They are located immediately past the Visitors Gate on your right.  Plaques are mounted on permanent concrete bases on the artifact's right front side.
